About the Artist: Samantha Dennis lives and works in Tasmania. Her work is inspired by science and natural history. She is drawn to micro lifeforms, from beetles to bacteria, and examines how their biology can be translated into objects. She disrupts the expectations and mechanics of jewellery to generate a unique dialogue and provoke the viewer into seeing the ordinary as the extraordinary. Samantha is one of our PLANTS Exhibition artists.

About the Cultivate Exhibition: Our online gallery features work for sale as part of a preview of our new spring exhibition Cultivate. This exhibition is all about strengthening our existing relationships with artists and will be a celebration of our exhibitions, showcasing the very best, with favourites from Botanica, Wild Thing, Harvest, Artisans in the Gardens, PLANTS  and Treecyle exhibiting in October. This treasury of art allows you to explore the beautiful connection of art to our gardens. Proceeds are split between the artist and Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens and helps continue our support of science, conservation, education and horticulture.
