About the Artist: Rachel Hollis is a Sydney-based artist who specializes in pencil drawings of Australian wildlife. Inspiration for her art often starts on bird-watching and camping trips around Australia observing wildlife in its natural habitat and on returning to her home studio these ideas are then used to create her original artwork. Rachel is one of our Wild Thing Exhibition artists and all the animals featured in her work can be found in one of our three Botanic Gardens.
About the Cultivate Exhibition: Our online gallery features work for sale as part of a preview of our new spring exhibition Cultivate. This exhibition is all about strengthening our existing relationships with artists and will be a celebration of our exhibitions, showcasing the very best, with favourites from Botanica, Wild Thing, Harvest, Artisans in the Gardens, PLANTS and Treecyle exhibiting in October. This treasury of art allows you to explore the beautiful connection of art to our gardens. Proceeds are split between the artist and Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens and helps continue our support of science, conservation, education and horticulture.
